Spike Milligan

I vaguely remember watching a Spike Milligan series on UK TV show in the late 60s or early 70s, where every now and then, there would be a fake commercial for 'Snibbo'. Whatever, the problem, Snibbo could solve it. Anyone out there know what I'm talking about?

Sure do remember Snibbo. Its stayed with me all my life. Whenever I need anything fixed, cleaned or assembled I call out where's the Snibbo. V. few people in the world know what I'm talking about...if only there were such a product.

Not only Snibbo, but The World of Beachomber also had spoof commercials for Threadgold Thorogrip Garterettes.

Yes....it was a product of no bounds, it was the ultimate panacea !! It came back under a string of names, along with steak knives, when telemarketing / online shopping gained prominence in retailing and lives on today as a legacy to Spike Millgan!!
